See my ETSY Store before I have more plan for this web

I will be switching hosting in the coming days, approx before June  so the website may temporarily go offline due to some technical issues. If you need anything during this period, please visit my Etsy store to make a purchase.

After switching to the new hosting, I may completely redesign the website. As mentioned earlier, I might remove all products and instead showcase only those with engravings.

I have been exploring how best to present pricing and product details in the most understandable way. Right now, I’m testing new offline methods to showcase how each product is crafted. One idea is to treat each product listing as a process rather than offering multiple options. Instead of selecting choices, customers can personalize the product with their own text or images based on the reference photo.

For example, if the product image shows a dog tag with a fingerprint engraving, it would be carved onto the tag exactly as shown, so customers can visualize the final result. Furthermore, customers can use their own fingerprint for the engraving, making it even more intuitive to understand what their product will look like.

However, this approach involves producing multiple samples to demonstrate the final effect.

Additionally, this method can help minimize disputes over the final product. In some cases, when customers only see a digital or computer-generated preview, the final physical product may look slightly different in terms of color or effects. Since laser engraving is involved, the outcome depends on the unique characteristics of each material—it’s not like printing, where you can simply select any color. The engraving is permanent and shaped by the material itself, so the most accurate way to show the final result is to create an actual sample rather than relying solely on previews.

Furthermore, I can set different prices based on the complexity and requirements of each product. This makes it easier for customers to understand pricing rather than having a fixed cost for options like “one side” or “two sides,” where engraving a single letter costs the same as an entire handwritten message. This pricing approach helps avoid confusion. However, on Etsy, I currently have to stick to a simpler pricing structure since the platform does not provide the flexibility to customize options.volutpat.

Bulk Order Policy

For all bulk orders exceeding 50 pieces, customers must first purchase at least one item to review the final product before proceeding with a larger order.

Alternatively, customers can place the bulk order directly, and I will engrave the content onto the product. Before finalizing the purchase, I will provide photos or videos of the engraved items for customers to review.

Please note that if customers proceed with the bulk order without first reviewing a sample, I cannot offer refunds or exchanges in cases of color variations or unexpected differences in the final product. This is because engraving results are dependent on material properties and are not adjustable like printing.

Dear valued customers,

For approximately eight years, EngraveGift has been a part of my engraving journey. Initially, this website was primarily used for processing additional customization fees and payment adjustments rather than being a fully functional online store. However, given today’s challenging economic climate, I’ve noticed that most customers prefer platforms like Etsy and eBay instead of using a standalone site like mine.

Understanding the overwhelming dominance of large online marketplaces, I’ve realized that running advertisements won’t help much—no matter how much I spend, these corporations always come first in search results. With that in mind, I’ve decided to transform EngraveGift into a showcase of completed engraved works, highlighting my craftsmanship and providing clearer design choices for customers.

How It Will Work

Instead of offering a blank canvas for customers to create from scratch, I will be displaying engraved products that have already been made, with permission from past clients. Each design will be available as-is, allowing customers to customize the text or image while keeping the engraving layout intact.

This approach serves two purposes:

  1. Better Design Clarity – Many customers struggle with design ideas when given too much freedom. By showcasing real engraved examples, they can visualize exactly what they’re getting.

  2. Improved Search Visibility – Instead of offering just one blank template (e.g., a dog tag), I will upload multiple engraved designs, each treated as a standalone product. This way, customers browsing online will see more options tailored to different styles and preferences.

As I review pricing and upload more works, I am confident that over time, the collection will cover nearly every engraving style possible—giving customers a comprehensive selection while keeping things straightforward.

Moving Forward

EngraveGift is evolving from a simple payment tool into a meaningful portfolio of past projects. While direct sales may not be the primary focus anymore, this transformation allows me to continue sharing my craft while providing inspiration to those interested in personalized engraving.

I truly appreciate your support and look forward to exploring this new direction together!
